Festival Chants de Vielles takes place in the lovely, country setting of Montérégie in a quaint and historic Québec village. Every year, Chants de Vielles brings in a fresh and delicious musical harvest by providing a place for sharing and learning on a human scale. This ninth annual edition promises tasty, nourishing discoveries, fantastical meet-ups and deeply-rooted exchanges.

Pendant 8 ans, ce happening de chant et de musiques trad, folk et acoustique a grandi dans les terres fertiles de Calixa-Lavallée. Les 28-29 et 30 juin prochains, la roue qui tourne nous transportera tous dans le magnifique village patrimonial de Saint-Antoine-sur-Richelieu qui sera l’hôte de ce rassemblement musical festif ouvert à tous. La 9e édition invite à la découverte des musiques acoustiques aux rythmes des longues journées lumineuses de la fin juin. Son nouveau campement sera planté aux abords de la rivière Richelieu, témoin des premiers balbutiements de notre pays. Des cordes et des vents sur une toile de fond de cultures et de traditions. Tout ce qu’il faut pour que notre nouveau bateau défasse les nœuds du quotidien s’amarre au quai du temps qui passe nous permettant d’emplir nos oreilles d’airs frais, de nous dégourdir la jambe et de lever le coude à la santé du bonheur partagé. Au cœur de l’édition 2013, plus de 50 artistes de renom (Québec, France (Bretagne, Auvergne, Occitanie) et Irlande) y deviendront phares. L’on vous convie à laisser, vous aussi, vos lumières allumées et à embarquer sans hésiter. Au plaisir de vous rencontrer !
